American soft power versus the brutal reality

I am somewhat confused by Khun Anan Pakvasa’s claim about Donald Trump’s “brute force of hard power” versus the soft power America has allegedly successfully used since the end of World War Two.
In the post-war period the US has launched what it euphemistically calls “interventions” in more than 100 countries, resulting in the deaths of millions of people. One only needs to google “US interventions” to understand that these actions have nothing to do with soft power, but are rather clandestine operations against governments that do not conform to America’s imperialistic designs.
