Taking place this Sunday (March 5) at the Stage @Asiatique the Riverfront on Bangkok’s Charoen Krung Road, the performance will consist of 17 sub-shows that feature various techniques including aerial rope, aerial silk, aerial hoop, aerial net, aerial hammock, aerial cube, straps, trapeze and dance, creating excitement through daring movements in a circus style.
“The cast and crew consist of almost 60 people aged between 8 and 55 years old, so the performance will be much more exciting, with singing, dance and acrobatics, a full circus show. We will use international songs and music that we have newly remixed with a hint of EDM to liven up the mood,” said Sutapa Uttamote, or Khru Opal, a trainer and one of the seven co-founders.
Net proceeds from the performance will be donated to the Paralympic Committee of Thailand to provide support to Thai athletes in preparations for the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo.
“My staff, students and I share the same belief that athletes with disabilities bring fame and glory to Thailand just like any other Thai athlete. But most people overlook their capability and achievements. Not many people realise that at the 2016 Paralympics, our athletes won a total of 18 medals. I think we should be proud of this great success. So, we want to show our support for the next games,” said a co-founder/trainer Komson Sripluem, or Khru Art.
The performance kicks off at 2pm. Tickets cost Bt500, Bt1000, Bt1500 and Bt2,000. For reservation, contact Line ID: HOYHONshow or call (094) 818 4991.
