Writing that ex British Prime Minister John Major was guilty of treason for legally signing the Maastricht Treaty is obviously preposterous for a start, as is the balderdash about Tony Blair compounding this allegedly treasonous act regarding Lisbon. Neither have been in the dock, and neither is guilty of doing anything other than what was seen to be right and proper for a British PM to do at the time, which explains why neither was charged with any crime for their acts.
A totalitarian EU? Give me a break. Mr Wilcox should stop being so naive and look towards the Russian Federation, north of the 38th parallel, or the Middle East to find real totalitarianism. Sure, we all know the EU is far from perfect but neither are the US, Asean, the UN, or Australia for that matter. Last time I looked EU MEPs were voted in, and not appointed by some non-existent EU Politburo. You won’t get that in Moscow or Pyongyang.
I cringe inwardly when these Little Englanders start burbling about releasing the British lion from its cage. What rot. The UK is gradually slipping down the world economic rankings and there is little to suggest that the country can now avoid doing a Leicester City, if I may use that comparison. Thanks Farage.
If Mr Wilcox is so proud of the land where I assume he was born considering all the chauvinistic chest-puffing he does, why isn’t he permanently living there now?
