A Kremlin candidate in the US administration
Just hours after US President Donald Trump delivered his “best speech ever” to Congress on Tuesday night, Jeff Sessions, the attorney-general appointed by Trump, was accused of being untruthful when he said he had never met with anyone connected to the Russian government before the 2016 election – during Senate testimony and in writing.
Almost immediately after the revelation, Attorney-General Sessions recused himself from an FBI inquiry into alleged Russian interference in the US election.
This revelation has dealt a big blow to the Trump government’s credibility. And it looks like more exposes are forthcoming.
The big question is: Is there a “Kremlin candidate” in the US government?
