President Trump seems to be leading his country overwhelmingly with his heart, but possibly not enough of anything else.
For example, Mr Trump recently used his Twitter account to accuse former President Barrack Obama – without any evidence – of wire-tapping his New York office in Trump Tower just before the election.
Such an accusation, if proven to be false, would land the accuser in trouble if he or she were someone else, and not the president.
Even if the accusation were sound, this would mean a revelation of classified information.
Mr Trump should be reminded that he is the most powerful man on the face of this earth.
As US president, all he had to do was call the Department of Justice on the telephone and ask for the truth before rushing out to make any statement.
Hence, Mr Trump should stop sending populist messages from now on.
