Chutikarn rubbished rumours at the “MThai Top Talk-About 2017” award announcement on Friday about conflicts between her daughter and the organiser. She also insisted, like what her had daughter said earlier, that every job contract was known to Namtan, her parents, her assistants and also the Miss Universe Thailand managing director, Chichaya Karnsuta.
They all know all job details, which jobs are accepted and those that are declined, she said.
Chutikarn added that everyone in the group also knows about the payments for the jobs, and the organiser transfers all of Namtan’s payments to her account, in keeping with the agreement.
“It is the agreement that all payments to her [Chalita] will go to my account. We’re saving to buy a house,” she added.
“We don’t have a problem with the organiser. I myself am still in talks with Chichaya,” said Chutikarn.
The rumours started circulating after veteran beauty queen Gavintra “Gam” Photijak (Miss Universe Thailand 2008) posted on her Instagram “No sweet, Namtan [sugar] is so artificial” about Chalita wanting to break the contract so that she could manage her own job assignments without having to share the revenue with the organiser.
According to Chutikarn, Chalita has signed a three-year contract with the organiser: the first-year as Miss Universe Thailand 2016 until July, followed by two years pursuing a career as an actress.
Chalita became the first person from Thailand to make the final six of the Miss Universe pageant since Porntip Nakhirunkanok in 1988.
