Trump wiretap: a case for Mulder and Scully?

Re: “When is a wiretap not a wiretap?” Letters, yesterday.

Eric Bahrt may not necessarily be stupid or even worse, De Luded (my words), but he has a point. I, too, refuse to call Trump “President” since he holds that title in name only, as millions would doubtless agree.
Trump certainly has a problem with spelling complex words like the tweeted tapp (sic) and now compounds his thickitudes (my word, also) by inferring that British Intelligence may have colluded with their American counterparts in the commission thereof, amounting to an illegal act which is therefore more in the breach than the observance.
If the FBI was involved, could it perhaps be the work of their X Files department?
