Tham Turakit project manager Pichet Tonitiwong said he’d earlier completed the route in seven hours, riding from Onnut to Ban Bueng via towards Srinagarindra, Ramkhamhaeng and Suwinthawong roads.
It turned out to be a bit trickier on the day of the big ride, though, thanks to intense heat followed by heavy rain. Everyone persevered nevertheless and arrived safely at Mab Aung, to be greeted by foundation president Dr Wiwat Salyakamthorn and Jon Jandai, founder of the Pun Pun organic farm.

Also waiting for the cyclists was the Restoring Life on Earth Festival. It included seminars on topics such as “Young Smart Farmer”, led by Thanonchai “Tor” Sornsriwichai of the private firm Phenomena and Jira Boonprasop of Pordee Creative. Workshops showed how to live self-reliantly and how to build a waterway catchment as recommended by the late beloved monarch.
