Loyal fans of Nike’s Air Max series will be lining up today forthe Air Max X Carnival Pop Up at Acmen Ekamai Complex to celebrate the launch of the new NikeLab Air Max 97 Mid X Riccardo Tisci, an exciting mix of sportswear and couture.

“It’s a big year for Nike Air Max. There have been many limited-edition Air Max shoes created from collaborations between Nike and the world’s leading fashion designers for Nike connoisseurs to choose from. One of these designers is Italian Riccardo Tisci. He has collaborated with Nike to design the new NikeLab Air Max 97 Mid X Riccardo Tisci. This highly-coveted sneaker is a prime example of Tisci’s ‘sportswear meets luxury’ aesthetic,” says Pannee Santiwiwatkul, marketing manager of Nike (Thailand).
One of the masterpieces of NikeLab’s Vision-AIRS programme, the shoe has been given more height to showcase its street-wear character while the mid-top reflects Tisci’s interests in basketball and skateboarding. A concealed zip pocket on the tongue allows the upper synthetic leather and suede to contrast with the milky white outsole in a sleek design. Finishing it off, the Nike logo is embossed in golden and in a perfect dimension to bring out the Nike x Riccardo Tisci collaboration.
The new model marks the 30th anniversary of Air Max shoes and the pop up shop’s interior design is created by noted graffiti artist Rukkit Kuanhawate.
