Celebrations in Paradise

Celebrate Songkran Festival in the traditional way at Paradise Park Shopping Centre with the “Buddha Bhucha Maha Songkran Festival”.

You are invited to pray for blessings and sprinkle water onto 9 replicated prominent Buddha images in Thailand and 9 enlightened monks including Praya Sri Suthiyo Nakarat from Kham Chanok Forest and Ong Thep Thanjai from Myanmar.
There are blessings for the tummy too with traditional Thai cuisine along with recreational and entertainment activities. The festival runs from today (April 5) through April 16, at the shopping cente on Sri Nakarin Road.
The formal opening takes place on Friday (April 7) at 2pm when the Buddha relic, provided by the late 19th Supreme Patriarch of the Rattanakosin era, will be put on a high foundation as a sacred item for the public.
The opening event will be chaired by Pra Prom Senabodi (Pim Yanviro) from Wat Prathum Kongka Raj Voraviharn and ML Panadda Diskul, Prime Minister's Office permanent secretary. Usamanee Vithayanon, Pitchaya Nithipaisalkul, Vasit Sirisantana, and Sapol Asvamunkong will also attend.
Other activities include the traditional pouring of water onto the hands of the elders and tunes from the Soontraporn Music Band (April 13, 1pm), Paradise Park Songkran Beauty Pageant for Children 2017 (April 14, 3pm), and traditional Thai dances and recreational activities daily from 4pm (except April 7, 13, and 14).
