Origins of Islam and alternative ideas

Re: “The fundamental difference between Islam and Buddhism”, Have Your Say, April 1.

Saturday’s letter from the usually well-versed Mr Wilcox compares two religions but skimps on the origin of Islam according to its learned scholars.
Around 1,400 years ago, an invisible, non-human, silent “deity” discloses 6,000-plus verses to a non-human, invisible messenger, Jibriel (Gabriel). This messenger then passes on these verses to an illiterate man, who learns them perfectly. The man is then elevated to the status of a prophet. In my discussions with Muslim scholars, none could or would explain how these first two steps were carried out. The verses were written down a few decades after this “event”, without error. Again no scholar could explain how the scribes knew exactly what the deity had told Jibriel.
One scholar advised that I read “deeper” in search of the meaning. Another admitted that the scribes may well have altered the texts to better control the unruly populace. That makes sense when one notes that the verses are mainly threats to believers and non-believers, and self praise.
The alternative viewpoint, considered a conspiracy theory these days, is that the true prophets of the Nokodemion line (Enoch, Henoch, Jeremiah, Jesus and Mohammed), were intentionally incarnated to deliver the laws of Creation and thus better the lot of mankind. This should absolve Mohammed of today’s interpretations of the original verses and the nasty character assassinations levelled at him.
Buddha, being no more than a retired Indian businessman with connections to royalty, set out to teach respect. Not being a true prophet much embellishment was needed to satisfy/control the followers. One such being that one is re-incarnated into five types of angry ghost. However the laws of Creation teach that we incarnate as humans, preferably into the same family line, after resting on the “other side”.  There we rest longer, maybe 100+ years if we had lived a long life, or stay on the other side for just minutes if we were aborted. The Creation has the main role here. We also note that the spirit form enters the embryo 3 weeks after conception, that when biologists have noted cell differentiation commences. These facts will be known in time by open-minded scientists.
