Barking out loud
Pet owners turned out in full recently for the first “Habito Dogs Bark N Yard”, which offered dog lovers the chance to spend some quality time together.
Hosted by Habito Retail Mall, the event featured lots of activities, the highlight of which was the Dog Charity Run, Thailand’s first mini marathon for owners and their 4-legged friends held by a retail mall. Not only did registrations sell our within a week, the high level of participation raised Bt100,000 towards the construction of the Emergency and Intensive Care Unit at the Small Animal Teaching Hospital, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University.
Visitors, both human and canine, enjoyed Thailand’s first Dog Lounge, an exclusive recreational room for pets, and owners took full advantage of the booths to stock up on goodies for their favourite companion. The canines, meanwhile, were busy signing up to the pet idols fanpage, with ‘Buta’ from ‘French Buta’ ‘Loyd’ from ‘TeamLoyd’ fan page and ‘Mondo’ from ‘Mondo Sherdoghomes’ scoring plenty of hits.
And the good news is that even though the event is over, the mall is still welcoming pooches to its Dog Playground and Dog Market. So leashes on for a grand day out.
Habito Retail Mall is part on the T77 Residence on Sukhumvit Soi 77 (Onnut 1/1).
