Prayut must explain submarine purchase

The Prayut Chan-o-cha government – in “quietly” giving the green light early this month for the purchase of a Bt13.5-billion submarine from China – risks having its credibility destroyed irretrievably.
In this age, when it comes to national budget spending, nothing is too grand or too sensitive to discuss.
In other words, transparency is the norm now globally.
Therefore, the government should be reminded that this money belongs to Thai taxpayers, not to them.
Hence, the government should come clean on this.
There is no way around.
