Swiss flautist Sebastian Jacot is the guest soloist atupcoming concert, “Window to Switzerland”, being staged on May 12 at 7pm and May 13 at 6pm, at Prince Mahidol Hall at Mahidol University’ Salaya campus.

Part of the part of the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra 2017 concert series, the TPO will be conducted by Swiss maestro Claude Villaret through a programme that includes Frank Martin’s “Ballade for flute, string orchestra and piano” and “Ballade #2 for flute, orchestra, piano, timpani and percussion", Maurice Ravel's “Daphnis et Chloe (Complete Ballet in Three Parts)” as well as Thai traditional music.

Born in Geneva, Jacot started playing the flute at age eight. At 15, he was accepted into the Conservatoire Superieur de Musique de Gen?ve. From 2006 to 2008, he was assistant principal flute under Maestro Edo de Waart at the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Since 2008 he has served as principal flutist at the Saito Kinen Festival under Maestro Seiji Osawa and is now solo flutist at the Contrechamps Ensemble in Geneva.
