Considered one of the best golf destinations in Asia, Thailand today is home to more than 200 courses and resorts, most of which – 160 – are privately run while the remainder belong to public and state enterprises.
So it comes as no surprise that the Kingdom now has its very own golf forum. Organised by NCC Exhibition Organiser (NEO) with the support of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the 2017 edition of the Thailand Golf Expo runs from May 11 to 14 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, The exhibition features a comprehensive range of golf products, services and destinations to help boost tourism in Thailand and also showcases the country’s position as a exhibition hub with more than 200 regional traders invited to the show to participate in business matching events.
Recent surveys indicate that more and more overseas golfers are interested in playing golf in Thailand with Phuket now hosting more than 200,000 golfers every year earning the best part of Bt2 billion in revenue. Average spending per golfer per day is in excess of Bt4,000.
Other events being held at the QSNCC over the same period are the Thailand Dive Expo 2017 and the “Outdoor Fest 2017”.
