The letter written by “Farang Chronicler” has no merit. It is not accurate to justify persecuting an almost completely peaceful Muslim minority with an interpretation of history from 1,000 years ago. This is like the European claim during the Middle Ages that the Jews could be persecuted because “they killed Jesus Christ”. This sort of pseudo-justification for genocide and persecution is dangerous and inhuman and also contrary to true Buddhist principles. I hope Nation readers will not be fooled!
