Mistakes that could bring Trump down

There are two self-induced fatal mistakes that could lead to the impeachment of US President Donald Trump.

First, when President Trump fired FBI Director James Comey on May 9, he said the decision was recommended by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, and that Comey failed to agree to press charges against Hillary Clinton for dereliction of duty concerning her email accounts during her tenure as Secretary of State.
However, on the very next day, Mr Trump told the visiting Russian Foreign Minister it was because Comey was probing into possible collusion between the Trump campaign team and Russia to influence the 2016 presidential election - that was the real reason he sacked him.
Critics are accusing the president of blatantly lying.
Second, Mr Trump's son-in-law and adviser, Jared Kushner, was accused of having met with Russian officials and a banker close to Russian President Vladimir Putin - without entering the meetings in his security-clearance document. It was also reported that Russian Ambassador to the US, Sergey Kislyak, was "taken aback" by Mr Kushner's proposal to have a secret back channel for communication between the Kremlin and the Trump transition team in December - via the use of all Russian-made communication equipment.
