Buffoon has his finger on the nuclear button. Do we just wait and watch?

Robert Samuelson bemoans the fact that Donald Trump is not being given the traditional “six month honeymoon” that new  American presidents normally enjoy. But in this day and age, when one mistake by the president could cause millions of people to die, it’s an outrage to suggest the president should be given even a six-second honeymoon.
Suppose this newspaper hired a science writer who, in his first article, wrote that the moon is made out of cream cheese. In his second article, he declared the earth is flat. Would this newspaper give this writer a “six month honeymoon”? Or more likely would your position be “we have to do something about this idiot before he destroys us”?
Why, when the president of the United States is a buffoon and a sociopath, should he be treated any differently?
