Alternative universe theory may help explain Trump’s appeal

Re: “Anti-Trump fury is also anti-democratic”, Have Your Say, yesterday.

There is a scientific theory known as the multiverse, or meta-universe, which postulates that there are innumerable universes co-existing with the one that we inhabit. This idea has a long lineage, and was a feature of the English author Michael Moorcock’s fantasy novels.
The concept of fantasy extends to the fact that some “confused” people who scribble here might possibly have crossed over to the universe we inhabit, and have presented their Trumpist “alternative-fact” views of reality as the diametric opposite of the truth as rational beings understand the concept.
One of the Collective Voice’s useful idiots, who resorts to grossly offensive insults having lost the argument (and the plot) months ago, now unsurprisingly admits to failing to understand the truth about Trump, alongside offering glaring distortions for us, the cognoscenti, to laugh at.
One example is giving a one-sided, heavily biased, interpretation of James Comey’s testimony under oath, including the conveniently ignored fact that Comey called Trump a liar, again under oath. It continues to be obvious that these flat-earthers will grasp at whatever straws that may come their way.
