It’s lucky 88 for Jubilee Diamond

Jewellery brand Jubilee Diamond celebrated its 88 years of success with a gala dinner at the Plaza Athenee Bangkok last week.

Loyal clients were feted with a sumptuous feast and a fashion show of diamond masterpieces collectively valued at more than Bt500 million.
Jubilee Enterprise president Unyarat Pornprakit said the occasion celebrated 88 years of “providing Thailand’s diamond industry with innovations” and its pride in having “the biggest flagship store in Southeast Asia, Jubilee of Siam”.
“Jubilee Diamond has been an essential force behind the higher standards of Thailand’s diamond-jewellery trading sector that is now global, equally accepted for its international standards,” Unyarat said.
“Over the decades we have been continuously focusing on developing the quality and design of our products, together with professional customer-service standards, to achieve the utmost satisfaction and benefits of our amicable customers, who have always supported us in every step taken.”
Getting pulses racing right off the bat, a cushion-shaped 55.88-carat, D-colour diamond was showcased at the entrance.
The one-of-a-kind brilliant diamond whose weight matches the “lucky numbers” 5 and 8 came from the world’s best diamond-cutters in Antwerp, Belgium. It was their work that produced the startling hue and shape.
Jubilee had the stone created in recollection of the Diamond Jubilee of Britain’s Queen Victoria in 1897.
The venue for the Chinese banquet conceived to foster fortune, wealth, health and fertility was decorated in “Luxury Elegance” style for diamond enthusiasts including Janchai Angsamaporn, Nichanun Lertvuttiviwat, Wanwanat Nichanun Lertvuttiviwat, Nuchanat Raveesangsoon, Tasnee Cholsaipant, Venessa Chang, Pavitporn Kanathanavanich, Nattariya Khophairot, Jhaisakhran Khophairot and Darunee Kunkonlakarn.
Jennifer Kim sang for the crowd during the fashion show in which the models wore a half-billion baht worth of glittering jewels. The pre-eminent piece was the Emblem of Eternity Pendant with its flawless Triple Excellent Hearts and Arrows diamond.
From the house’s Carat Collection, the Oval Diamond Ring complements dainty fingers with a 100 D-colour and Triple Excellent-cut-grade diamond in a perfect oval.
Jubilee Diamond has counters at leading shopping centres and its Jubilee of Siam store on Silom Road in Bangkok.
