A taste of Macau
Dean & Deluca (Thailand) celebrates the food of Macau in a new joint promotion with the Macau Government Tourism Office.
The dishes will be available at Dean & Deluca stores at MahaNakhon Cube, Central Embassy, EmQuartier, the Crystal and Bluport Hua Hin until October.
Covering everything from starters, main courses and desserts to beverages and wines, the menu includes Caldo Verde Soup, Bacalhau A Braz, African Chicken, Tamarind Pork with Balichao and Serradura.
This special collaboration is a part of Macau Tourism’s campaign to promote the region on the concept “Experience Macau Your Own Style” and aims to introduce the outstanding mixed food cultures between East and West after the arrival and settlement of the Portuguese in the mid-16th century.
The uniqueness and variation of food in Macau is one of the reasons that this city a must-visit place for tourists.
Macanese cuisine is considered the taste of the well-blended cultures in Macao. It is a special combination of Portuguese and Chinese cuisine, with ingredients and seasonings assembled from Europe, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Macanese food is typically seasoned with spices such as turmeric and cinnamon, while a dash of coconut milk tops off the unforgettable aromas and taste.
