I see I’ve touched Nigel Pike’s raw nerve again. One the swivel-eyed Collective Voice poltroons has crawled out from wherever he’s currently hiding to treat us to another whinge in the Have Your Say columns on July 30. If he can’t stand the heat, he should get out of the kitchen.
He states, for the record, that he is “not particularly enamoured” with democracy. Now there’s a thing – neither was Hitler, voiding another asinine outburst that’s also on the record.
In a mere sentence, we have a complete statement of formulaic stupidity that I and doubtless others expect from such people.
Given that democracy is anathema to all of The Voice, I suggest they go and live somewhere more befitting their ultra-far-right extremism. Perhaps the White House with that failure Trump or with those other serial losers Geert Wilders or Marine Le Pen?
Intelligent people know democracy isn’t perfect, but it’s irrefutably the best system available to us.
