Battle of the e-Legends
Gamers were glued to their screens last weekend as Team Taiwan-Hong-Kong-Macau went up against Team Mainland China in the final of “Return of the Legends” competition at the Hong Kong Coliseum.
It was the closing event in the three-day “ICBC (Asia) e-Sports & Music Festival Hong Kong”, which drew some 60,000 visitors and around 5 million online viewers for three matches in the tournament.
Organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and ICBC (Asia), the competition saw Team Mainland China winning 2 to 0 after 2 hours 10 minutes.
In addition to international e-sports tournaments, there was also a Festival Zone to bring visitors first-hand experience of the hottest offerings in the e-sports world.
Visitors got to try out state-of-the-art gear, get up close to former world champions and KOLs, and compete against fellow e-gamers.
South Korea's artists from SMTown such as Super Junior, SHINee, f(x) Luna, EXO, Red Velvet, NCT 127 and NCT Dream entertained with their latest hits, as well as group-crossover performances.
