Pod goes Yelo

Brand-new art and creative space Yelo House celebrates its opening with a solo art exhibition “Pod Art” by veteran singer and artist Thanachai Ujjin, aka “Pod Moderndog” that runs until September 30.

Pod’s paintings express his daily views and experiences at personal levels. His manager, Angkrit Ajchariyasophon, says his artwork opens up a new space for himself and others, enabling Pod to explore and express himself further in addition to singing and composing his songs. And while Pod gives no definition of his artistic genre, preferring to call it abstract, Angkrit says that it is easier to comprehend than many other abstract pieces of art.

Pod perfectly matches what Yelo House is after – freshness in the art scene. Although Pod has been a well-known musician for 22 years, he only started painting in 2013.

“The shareholders -- Hans-Werner Muller, Suwanee Suwansaengroj, Sulyawate Prasertwitayakarn and myself – built Yelo House with one common goal in mind – to promote art appreciation and we mean all branches, from fine arts to applied art to arts of living like culinary art,” says Yelo House’s shareholder Oh Singhasuvich. “We want to promote art and motivate people who love the same thing to interact more.”
