Japanese treats assemble On the Table

Bangkok’s On the Table Tokyo Cafe is taking diners on a fresh gastronomic journey with a “Taste of Japan” promotion continuing right through October.

Guests are being treated to six new dishes that bend conventional culinary rules by harmoniously infusing sophisticated Japanese tastes with other flavours from around the globe.
Pork Chop Katsu XL has the traditional tonkatsu (breaded, deep-fried pork cutlet) stuffed with spinach, bacon and melted cheese.
Hokkaido Cold Capellini has the ultra-thin noodles made with buckwheat instead of durum wheat and arrives with a mix of Hokkaido delicacies, including salmon and crab.
The classic noodles found in Bacon Yaki Udon Gratin are topped with a fried egg in a romantic rendezvous with French bacon and grilled cheese.
Spaghetti Cream Mentaiko features the delectable house sauce and creamy pasta packed with a little surprise from Italy – calamari fritti.
Popular sushi – Wasabi Tuna, Spicy Crab with Mayo, and Salmon Mayo – are served on beds of Japanese nori and a taco shell.
Harajuku Sweet Potato Crepe is a real delight for lovers of sweets, the crepe slightly sour but glorious with sweet potato, ice cream, crumble and fresh strawberries.
