Four decades ago, in the developing countries of Africa, many young mothers did not have access to clean water. They were mixing milk powder with water taken direct from a stream or source that contained bacteria often deadly to young babies.
Despite Thailand having come a long way in providing decent tapped water I think mothers in much of the country would be ill-advised to use anything but bottled or boiled water.
It’s a point that the advertising might not mention, but failing to heed it could be fatal.
