Still no answers on Trump’s policies

Re: “The Devil goes by many names”, Have Your Say, yesterday.

How I wish we could stop commenting on the blatant lies of Nigel Pike, JC Wilcox and other contributors to this column. If these people could just accept the facts and stop deceiving readers, no more letters would be necessary on this subject.
Pike wrote, “The Muslim ban … was Obama’s policy.” But who wrote the executive order to officially ban people from these countries? The courts twice halted the implementation of this ban, which was finally accepted only after a substantial change. Who had the power to add countries to the list? Where is the connection to Obama, who was no longer president when the ban was introduced?
Pike also claims it is absurd to blame Trump for North Korea’s defence policy, which goes back more than a decade. But who threatened North Korea with “fire and fury”? Not President Clinton, not President Obama.
Isn’t it clear to all rational people that threatening nuclear war is the most stupid action you can take, inciting Kim Jung-un to challenge the United States? Doesn’t Mr Pike realise that a diplomatic effort with China on board is the only path to walk?
It is also notable that Pike limited himself to only two “answers”, suggesting he couldn’t find any more to comment on.
