I don’t like it, but they don’t care. Even when I reply with an expletive-riven text, they continue to invade my privacy, 24/7. I spoke to my Thai lawyer about suing TrueMove, to try to get them to quit harassing me. He said I would have to pay 2 per cent up front for the amount I sue them. For a Bt3-million lawsuit, that’s Bt60,000 – which I don’t want to pay to the Thai court system. However, if whomever reading this would like to join in a class-action lawsuit, let me know: dathailand@hotmail.
TrueMove needs to be sent a strong message: Don’t invade peoples’ privacy! They’re a multibillion-baht corporation with perhaps 10 million customers. If every customer gets 15 unsolicited ads per day, that adds up to 150 million invasions of privacy per day! Oh, and the ads are in Thai script so, being a farang who can’t read Thai, I’m not able to decipher them, even if I wanted to – which I don’t.
