Playing their last match of the year, the Kingdom’s side won their second FIFA Day match after they beat Myanmar 3-1 at the Mandalar Thiri Stadium on Thursday.
Striker Teerasil who also scored a goal in Myanmar punished a rebound from Kenya’s goalie Bonface Oluoch in the 62nd minute to put Thailand upfront.
After the game, Thai captain Datsakorn Thonglao was presented a jersey with number 100 which marked his 100th cap with the national team.
“Without supports from all of you (officials and fans), I wouldn’t be able to stand here,” he said.
Earlier at the same venue, the under-23 team went down to Jordan 0-1 in another friendly game. After a scoreless first half, Thailand eventually conceded a goal due to a mistake from their own player Worawut Namvech in the 88th minute.
