The winners of 45 Challenger trophies lived up to the expectations after they upset top pair Alex Bolt and Bradley Mousley 6-4 7-6 (7-5) in the semi-finals on Saturday.
“We played according to the game plan by managing early break in the first set. It’s not easy to break their serves as they always came up with huge serves on break points,” said Sanchai who have won four Challenger titles with his brother in 2017.
“The final will be tough as one of them is left-handed. Both have good serves and have been playing together for a few months. We need to play solid tennis especially on our serves,” Sonchat said.
In the singles action, eighth seed John Millman and Andrew Whittington will launch an all Aussie showdown after they beat Japanese opponents on Saturday. Millman upset fourth seed Tatsuma Ito 7-6 (7-2) while Whittington upset sixth seed Go Soeda 6-3 6-3.
