Facts go missing in the great food debate

It’s pretty obvious by Robin Grant’s last letter that he can no longer even attempt to defend eating animals from a moral, health or environmental perspective.

He finally makes it clear that he doesn’t give a damn about anything in life except his own physical pleasure.
I and other letter writers have answered every one of his arguments point by point and he now admits that he doesn’t care as long as his gluttony is satisfied. And that’s why I get frustrated and angry. What is the point in trying to appeal to people’s humanity when by their own admission they don’t have any? And why do they argue with me when they admit they don’t care about the facts?
