Bangkok Airways to organise seven running events

Bangkok Airways will organise its second Bangkok Airways Boutique Series, comprising seven running events in different destinations nationwide.

Senior director at the marketing communications division of Bangkok Airways, Kridhakorn Sirabhabhoj, said this year’s edition features five half-marathon events in Krabi, Koh Samui, Lampang, Phuket and Chiang Mai, one full marathon in Chiang Rai and trail-running in Trat.
“Due to the successful feedback last year with 15,000 participants, Bangkok Airways is determined to continue hosting the event again this year. It aims to promote tourism at the destinations we fly to as well as to respond to the incremental demand of sport tourism in the global market,” said Kridhakorn.
The airline will also conduct the “Shoes For Kids” campaign for runners to donate a pair of shoes to childen living in the provinces of the seven stops. Donations can be made via www.teelakow.com”, said Kridhakorn.
The first stop of the series will be the “Ultra Trail Unseen Koh Chang” at Koh Chang, Trat province, this weekend. The following events are Krabi Half Marathon in Krabi on May 6; Samui Marathon in Koh Samui, Surat Thani on June 10; Lampang Half Marathon in Lampang on June 24, Phuket Half Marathon in Phuket on August 5, Chiang Rai Marathon in Chiang Rai on September 16 and Lanna Half Marathon in Chiang Mai on November 11.
