Treasures of the past need protection
This beautiful corner of Siam in [Sukhumvit] Soi 49, where the writer Tiziano Terzani used to live and write his famous books, is to be demolished.
I was hoping that some government body would consider preserving and restoring places like this; they could be tourist attractions like Jim Thompson House.
Bangkok needs these places, not only department stores, which don’t interest all tourists . The night market was destroyed, I hope Chatuchak survives.
