Thailand wise to close loophole on cryptocurrencies

Re: “15% tax for digital currencies trade”, The Nation, March 28.
The Nation reports that “[t]ransactions involving cryptocurrencies, including digital tokens, will be subject to a 15 per cent withholding tax under a measure approved by the Cabinet yesterday”.
My hat’s off to the Cabinet of Thailand. To the folks that think they are “unanimously” buying cryptos that are “decentralised”, this is just a friendly reminder that nothing is certain but death and taxes.
