Israel has the right to self-defence

I would not fault the US for striking a threatening area in Mexico – and there are plenty of those, such as the headquarters for any one of a dozen crime gangs.
Israel has a very difficult situation.
Following international declarations, treaties, agreements, etc, Zionist organisations gathered funds and bought the land identified by the British Mandate.  
People began to return to their ancestral home and the land began to bloom. When the Arab neighbours saw what was happening, they wanted the land back, so started a series of skirmishes which resulted in a series of wars.
If I buy a house and discover rats living in it, I chase them out – if they return I fight even harder.
To avoid conflict, the Israelis even set aside Gaza for the Arab refugees. The Arab world calls these people “Palestinians” – though they don’t look like Philistines to me, as they are Arab, not Greek.
