B Davies makes some reasonable points. Yes the Robinson imbroglio is tiresome, as are several other issues at times, not least the ridiculous pro-veggie nonsense we have been subjected to since last Christmas.
That said, the fact that not all of the readers contribute does not “prove” that others aren’t interested in these conversations.
What it does prove, however, is that the editorial staff consider these matters to be relevant and of interest to the readership of this newspaper. I trust their instincts, and should they not consider my input or any other people’s input fit for print, that’s fine.
