Teacher needs to explain herself

Re: “Mother cries foul after teacher humiliates son over unpaid school fee”, News, June 22.

It would be interesting to demand the teacher explain why she thought it was appropriate for her to be involved in any way in the fee-payment matter. What specific purpose there was in humiliating the little boy.
And would it be it okay if her own child were humiliated in this manner for some other small infraction?
I hope the other parents will be disturbed enough by this unprofessional person’s actions to make a big protest.
One would hope many parents would be thinking, “Is my child next to be humiliated by this person for some or any matter that occupies the tiny immature unprofessional unethical mind of the teacher?”
The teacher should be dismissed and banned from teaching for life and fined, shamed and made to publicly apologise to the child.

Sack the teacher, now. They are unfit for purpose.

Why are people and places that hit the headlines for the wrong reasons never named? It is this kind of cover-up that allows these people to continue doing this. Name and shame.
They thought they were big enough to perform these actions, so let the world know who are these people and institutions who consider themselves to be so good.

Great lesson for the students. Don’t solve problems in a civilised manner. Humiliate your opponent. Make him lose face. Of course, that approach might lead to violence when the student practises it on someone in the future. Don’t improve yourself and make this a better society. Tear down anything that challenges you, so both are weaker in the end.

Just wrong! Humiliating children is an absolute no-no and the teacher should be disciplined.

The teacher needs a stern talking to. A lot of teachers just don’t have a clue about teaching.

A really sad situation for the kid to be put in. Whether the mother or father was supposed to pay the fee, why torment/belittle a child if it’s late?

Unfortunately this type of story we hear far too often of teachers doing exactly what they want with no regard to the child or parents.
As a minimum, I would require this teacher to make a public apology to the child and parent in front of the whole class and a final warning given as to this teacher’s future behaviour.

Just pay the Bt700, for goodness sake. The schools really need this money. Take responsibility.
Why put the school in a position that they have to resort to drastic measures just to get their measly Bt700 term fee?
Pay out or get out.
