Ideological cacophony is both rousing and riling

Nigel Pike, ever the devious one who enjoys smoothing figures, writes with the cold cynicism of a Machiavelli acolyte.

That said, he lacks the flair and wit of the Florentine on many levels. Fresh from his repugnant insinuation linking me, Ordsall and Zarke to child abuse, Pike now seeks to divert attention away from his rank bigotry with yet another intemperate swipe at people who have done him no personal harm, much in the manner of extremists of his stripe.
He laments some fantastic plot to create a UK far removed from his dewy-eyed Albion, a place so precious to him that he lacks the backbone to go and fight for it. Deeds, not words, Nigel. Instead, as per usual, he whinges from the safety of his Thai fastness. I expect nothing less from a serial invertebrate.
Further to this, one of Nigel’s many dark arts involves his struggle with an inveterate fear and loathing of democracy, and how he seeks to demonise those of us who actually believe in it. Sure it isn’t perfect, but it is infinitely preferable to Pike’s transparent far-right intolerance, by several orders of magnitude. Slightly right of centre? Give me a break.
Another clumsy attempt to take the reader’s attention from one of his intellect-free cul-de-sacs is to question my thoughts on editorial discretion. Cojones, Pike, as you know very well. As a mark of desperation, though, it takes some beating. Here’s an idea for him: Sort that crippling selective amnesia out, and check the number of times I actually welcome input to this page, irrespective of gentle fun-poking, even the xenophobic venom that passes for Pike’s “reasoned” argument.
