Worldwide, uncountable tonnes of fish and 77 billion land animals and are slaughtered each year. Overfishing and pollution are resulting in the acidification of our oceans and large marine mammal and species loss.
Along with massive ecosystem damage, this slaughter for food contributes to human health issues such as heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol and bowel and other cancers, and animal suffering.
The solution is to end our unnecessary reliance on animal products and instead research healthier, plant-based food options.
