Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Ayalon's explanation of the conflict between Palestinians and Israelis via a cartoon demonstration is entertaining (see YouTube). Let's add a bit of fun to the episode.
God, the heavenly father of Abraham, is pictured as usual as a gentle old man with a long white beard, sitting on a white chair with a cloud around him; while Abraham and his two sons, Isaac and Ishmael, are standing respectfully by the side.
God told Ayalon: "Ayalon, do not overreact and haggle with your half-brothers' appeal to the UN for statehood; Obama is now tangling with the Republicans and is not in a position to resolve your conflict. I have sent Rick Perry and Michele Bachmann to run for the presidency of the United States. Once they are in the Oval Office, a peace deal will be made according to my will."
Isaac and Ishmael nodded and gave each other a benevolent smile. Ayalon listened obediently, but occasionally glanced at his flicking fingers, counting the number of his countrymen that can settle in the West Bank by 2012.
