Designer MR Srikhamrung Yukol, contemporary artist Taweesak Srithongdee and Moderndog’s frontman Tanachai “Pod” Ujjin are showcasing their creations in the Absolut Exhibition at Siam Paragon’s Parc Paragon under the concept “Ideas create a wonderful world”.
The exhibition, which closes tonight, is divided into three zones: “Absolut Fashion”, which showcases MR Srikhamrung’s concepts, “Absolut Art”, displaying Taweesak’s works and “Absolut Beat” featuring Pod’s idea.
“I saw an Absolut exhibition abroad and was impressed by some of the works of art that were sold. I think it’s a great way for an artist to communicate,” says MR Srikhamrung. “In the world of fashion, A is the beginning. Also, we reflect our thoughts through clothes. That’s why I used glass for my art.”
“A, in my view, is the connection of three straight lines; two lines, which lean on each other, are like two persons relying on each other. My painting emphasises the straight lines,” says Taweesak.
“For me, A means beat or rhythm. It isn’t only the rhythm of music but also the rhythm of life. I’ve used wicker in my art. It’s like an East-meet-West piece,” says Pod.
After the exhibition, all works of art will be shown on www.Facebook.com/ABSOLUT and bids invited. The proceeds will go to charity.
