The powers that be have proven their utter inability to handle the current flood crisis.
Why don’t they just turn the problem over to the only ones who seem capable of acting – the Thai military – and let them solve it? This is exactly the kind of thing the military does best – organise, mobilise and solve problems. If they had had control from the beginning, the entire mess would likely have been solved by now.
