Satire and dry humour seem to be lost on most denizens of this beautiful country.
What riles me as a foreigner who has happily lived here for almost half a century, is to be told to return to where I came from when there is something I do not particularly fancy. Life is not perfect anywhere, and this exhibits only a latent xenophobia which is unfortunately more prevalent than expected among certain strata of Thai society.
