Success when Bush and Blair are tried

President Obama has kept his promise and the US troops, or at least most of them, are returning home from Iraq.

In his recent address to the nation, President Obama praised the troops for their valiant efforts, notwithstanding that most of them likely had little or no desire to be in Iraq in the first place, and that their mission was utterly mismanaged from the onset. However, he had no option but to lavish his praise on the military.
Unfortunately one small word crept into the president’s address that should never be used with respect to any aspect of the catastrophic failure that was the Iraq war. That word was “success”.
No, I retract that statement. There is one way that “success” could be applied, however remote the likelihood is of it ever coming to pass. It is if George W Bush and Tony Blair were to be tried, convicted and jailed for their roles in initiating this horrific crime against humanity.
Now that would be a success of epic proportions.
