Park police should stop animal cruelty

Whenever I go to Benchasiri Park in Bangkok, it always ruins my day when I see Thai children taking the turtles out of the pond and tormenting them.

Even worse, their parents often stand nearby, smiling with approval. Last Sunday, I saw one big brave father join his children in tormenting a turtle as he stuck a stick under its shell and began poking it.
Can’t the people who run the park put up a sign reading in Thai: “Don’t Touch the Turtles”? And then the policemen in the park could enforce the order.
