A tale of two creators
Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris is hosting a “Louis Vuitton-Marc Jacobs” exhibition until September 16.
The retrospective offers parallel stories of Vuitton, who found the luxury brand in 1854 and Jacobs, the company’s artistic director since 1997. It’s an in-depth look at the fashion industry during two decisive periods and is also a story of French craftsmanship, technological progress, stylistic creation and artistic collaboration.
The exhibition space, designed by Gainsbury and Bennett, is spread over two floors, each devoted to one of the creators.

Fashion that folds
French leather goods company Longchamp has launched its collection of Le Pliage folding bags.
Made of soft metis leather, the bags come in five styles – travel, tote, shopper and pouch.
The Le Pliage Cuir comes with a practical removable shoulder strap and a witty vintage print lining. Shiny nickel hardware gives the bag a modern urban vibe.
The Le Pliage line boasts its own exclusive palette, from black, navy, taupe and natural to jewel-bright orange, turquoise, cyclamen and red.
The bags are available at the Longchamp store on the first floor of Siam Paragon. Call (02) 610 9408.
