Why bother going to the US?

As reported widely, the US State Department has now requested that all incoming flights to the US must provide detailed information on every non-US passenger on the flight.
These details must include nationality, race, religion, ethnicity, credit card numbers, e-mail addresses, bank account numbers, food choices on the flight, criminal records, number of dependents, and their current health status.
In this ever more dangerous world, I am sure that these measures may well make our American cousins feel safer in their beds at night.
I agree with their proposals providing that there is reciprocity, and that all Americans travelling outside of their own country provide exactly the same information in advance to the destinations they are travelling to. America has homegrown terrorists, immigrant terrorists and unstable people just like any country in the world.
I am sure they will agree with this proposal.
