News, April 19th: Reconciliation push will wait for charter change
Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva is spot on in his stance against blanket reconciliation. No way we should grant general amnesty in the spirit of reconciliation. Crimes have been committed and people need to go to jail, in particular Thaksin Shinawatra.
The ruling party continues to serve as a bad example for upholding the law and doing what is right. It will use any convenient excuse to act unethically to liberate convicted criminal Thaksin.
Thaksin is a coward. It is time he acted like a man, and took his punishment instead of making lame excuses and blatantly lying. His behaviour, and the behaviour of all those who are trying to free him using reconciliation as a reason is disgraceful.
It is shameful to try and fool people by acting conciliatory and good, when actually the ruling party’s real intention is deceitful and immoral.
