Politicians should accept defeat

The race is over and France has a new president, Francois Hollande. And what was the response of the outgoing president Nicolas Sarkozy? [Did he say] "I am cheated! All my votes were clean. Hollande bought votes." No, no and no.

Admitting defeat soon after polls closed, Sarkozy wished Hollande good luck. In his concession speech, Sarkozy conceded defeat at a gathering of his supporters, urging them to stop booing Hollande. “I carry all the responsibility for this defeat,” he said, adding that “Francois Hollande is the president of France and he must be respected.” Yes, that was his response.
I wish our opposition leader would learn something from Mr Sarkozy.
