The two recent events that often come up are Thaksin Shinawatra's war on drugs, in which 2,500 people were killed, and the Tak Bai incident that resulted in 85 deaths by suffocation.
I wonder why the Democrat Party, armed with tonnes of lawyers, didn’t pursue these cases when it was in power. This is a crime against humanity.
I believe they ignored the Tak Bai incident because it involved the Army, which put Democrat leader Abhisit Vejjajiva in the PM’s office, but the killing of 2,500 innocent people in the war on drugs? How could they let that slip by? This conviction would have put Thaksin behind bars for good. But isn’t it strange that they did nothing?
